Trailers: Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Predators, Easier With Practice, The Good Heart, Ca$h.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World

The trailer is pretty average in all honesty, but starring personal favourite Michael Cera and written by Edgar Wright (Sean Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, Spaced) I’m still pretty hopeful about the whole movie.

Predators

Directed by unproven Nimród Antal (Armored) and starring Laurence Fishburne, Adrien Brody and Alice Braga the film has a pretty standard action setup. It really depends if the film leans too much on nostalgia or comes up with some ideas of its own as to whether it will be any good. Also there are Predator dogs, I think however you feel about that might be reflective of your reaction to the rest of the film.

Easier With Practice

Directed by and starring complete unknowns, Easier With Practice follows a phone relationship between two people who have never met. It’s a really nice idea with a great trailer but I’m not sure if the idea will stay interesting for the entirety of the film.

The Good Heart

Starring Brian Cox (Bourne, The Take and interestingly Killzone 2) and Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood), this film follows an unlikely pairing who meet in the hospital after Cox’s near death and Dano’s attempted suicide. Cox tries to teach Dano how to run his bar, rebuilding his confidence as well as giving him a purpose. The generational clash looks interesting and the acting looks top class, promising stuff.

Ca$h

Starring Sean Bean and Chris Hemsworth this looks like an amusing gangster flick that thinks its far cleverer than it is.

It's the first 'feature-length' episode of Red Band Radio, the film podcast from Scrambled Pixel!

Don’t fear though, because there’s a few other things to vary the chat.

On the show, Balaam & Harry discuss:

What they’ve been watching

The Oscar nominations & their picks

Their disgust at DC’s plans to make Watchmen a franchise

There are FOUR different ways to listen to the podcast: subscribe to our iTunes Feed, download the MP3 HERE by right-clicking and “saving as”, clicking on the link and listening to it in your browser or using the player below this post.
