I doubt Les Grossman is funny enough to hold up a feature film.
As I am sure you’re aware, Tom Cruise hosted the Twilight MTV Movie Awards this week as Les Grossman. For those of you with the memory of a newt, Grossman was the pudgy, balding movie exec that Cruise played in the overrated Tropic Thunder. In true Hollywood fashion Cruise confirmed that he will be working with Paramount to stretch what was an entertaining cameo into a full length feature. I guess with Knight and Day not shaping up brilliantly this looks like movie gold to Cruise, lets hope he’s right because it looks like an embarrassing cash grab to me.

The cameo was great but it feels a bit too much like Get Me To the Greek does to Forgetting Sarah Marshall… Not sure how necessary this film will be.
