Red Band Radio Episode 1: Papa Oscar Delta

In the absence of Taylor, Balaam and Harry take up the task of putting out a show and this particular one focuses on the Oscar nominations. Don’t fear though, because there’s a few other things to vary the chat.

On the show, Balaam & Harry discuss:

  • What they’ve been watching
  • The Oscar nominations & their picks
  • Their disgust at DC’s plans to make Watchmen a franchise

  1. Suddenly... bananas says:

The bit where you talked about having to concentrate when watching Michael Clayton: isn’t that how watching all films should work? I mean, there obviously are films that pretty much expect you to leave them running in the background, and whose plots could be understood by a brick, but most of them do require the viewer’s full attention.

    Also, Oscars suck dick.

And you should make the podcast a bit shorter.

  2. Harry says:

I meant that Michael Clayton is harder to focus on than other films because of the complexity of the script. If you drift off for a few minutes you probably will miss something important. It’s very dialogue heavy and it relies on the characters telling the story as opposed to the moments showing you what is happening. Only watch it if you are really going to watch the film and do nothing else and your full attention is on it. :P

Also, yeah, Oscars do kinda suck. And it was our bad on the length. We wanted a 40 minute podcast but there are a lot of Oscar categories… :/

We promise a more concise podcast in the future. :D
